Air Conditioning, Service and Refrigerant Handling

The Air Conditioning Combined course is aimed at technicians in the air-conditioning industry to provide and understanding of air-conditioning and improve and update service and installation skills.

This course will also cover the practical skills and knowledge necessary for the ‘F Gas’ City and Guilds 2079 qualification.

It is assumed that technicians attending this course will have basic mechanical skills.

Objective

To attain a basic understanding of the principles of air-conditioning and to learn service, installation and commissioning skills on this equipment.

Methodology

The topics will be covered with emphasis on practical work from the delegate. Basic theory will be demonstrated using a visual air-conditioning system. Theoretical work will be assisted by the use of good quality visual aids and discussion sessions. During the second half of the week engineers will install and commission their own system and take their refrigerant handling assessment.

Synopsis
